Electronic Cigarettes – Don’t Get Scammed

I want to first get one thing straight. Electronic Cigarettes themselves are not scams. I’ve personally used them, and I like them, a lot. However, if you’re thinking of buying an electronic cigarette (also known as e cigarettes), there are a couple things you need to watch out for.

First off, electronic cigarettes  have been around for a while in various incarnations. However, recently the technology has advanced quite a bit. Some of the older versions of electronic cigarettes are not very good.

Secondly, there are a number of companies selling very similar looking devices that are all labeled as electronic cigarettes , but the products themselves vary in how well they work. To make matters even more confusing, all of the electronic cigarette companies that I am aware of are manufacturing in China, but what you want to look for are the very few e-cigarettes that are manufactured in American run facilities located in China rather than Chinese companies themselves. This is of course open for debate, but the feedback that I am getting is that many of the Chinese managed facilities are turning out inferior products.

Another thing you may want to avoid is the “mini” electronic cigarettes. This again is simply my personal conclusion; however, the mini electronic cigarettes, while they look a little more like a regular cigarette, are reportedly full of mechanical problems that make them currently not worth the price.

Which brings me to my final piece of advice regarding electronic cigarettes , price. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. And from what I have found electronic cigarettes are no different. That being said, there is a ceiling, and you don’t need to pay more than $100 - $110 to get a quality starter kit. You may find electronic cigarettes as low as $80 or less; however purchase them at your own risk. The best price I have personally seen for a quality electronic cigarette starter kit was about $97.
